Samsung Expands Bespoke AI Appliance Lineup in India with Gemini Integration

Samsung India has launched its 2026 Bespoke AI home appliance range, integrating Google Gemini cloud-based AI to enhance functionality across its premium refrigerator and air conditioning portfolio. The new lineup, unveiled at an event in Gurugram, focuses on a connected ecosystem where appliances communicate with each other and user wearables to automate household tasks and optimize energy consumption.

The flagship Family Hub Refrigerator now features a 32-inch display and utilizes Google Gemini to power its AI Vision and Food Manager capabilities. According to Samsung, the integration of cloud-based AI allows the refrigerator to identify a significantly broader range of food items compared to previous on-device models, which were limited to approximately 35 product types. The system can track expiry dates, notify users of approaching use-by dates, and suggest recipes based on the current inventory.

For climate control, the new Bespoke AI WindFree Pro and Infinite 1-Way Cassette air conditioners introduce AI Energy Mode, which the company claims can reduce power consumption by up to 30 percent. The Infinite 1-Way Cassette model is engineered with 23,000 micro-holes to facilitate draft-free cooling. These units integrate with Samsung's SmartThings platform and Home Appliance Remote Management (HRM) for remote monitoring and control.

Samsung is positioning these appliances as part of a broader multi-device ecosystem. Ghufran Alam, Vice President and Head of Digital Appliances at Samsung India, stated that the company currently has approximately 25 million monthly active users on its connected platform, representing a 30 percent growth over the previous year. The ecosystem leverages Bixby with Voice ID to recognize individual users and personalize settings accordingly.

One practical application of this connectivity is the Wearable Good Sleep feature. Galaxy wearables can communicate sleep cycle data to the air conditioner, allowing the unit to automatically adjust compressor usage and temperature as the user transitions into deep sleep. This automation is designed to improve comfort while simultaneously lowering electricity costs.

To address concerns regarding data privacy and appliance longevity, Samsung has implemented its multi-layered Knox Security across the 2026 lineup. Furthermore, the company has committed to providing software updates for these appliances for up to seven years via its SmartThings service. The new range is currently available through authorized channel partners, with the Infinite 1-Way Cassette AC starting at ₹1,60,000, the Family Hub Refrigerator priced at ₹4,00,690, and the Bespoke AI WindFree Pro AC at ₹69,990.
