- The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Regulations, including the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014 and SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, governing non-advisory journalistic market reporting and data dissemination.
- The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, ensuring fair digital service practices, transparent communications, and consumer grievance redressal.
- The Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended), governing the lawful settlement of disputes through binding arbitration.
2. Legal Capacity & Eligibility
By accessing or using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or have attained the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the full legal capacity, right, and authority to enter into, execute, and abide by these Terms.
If you are under eighteen (18) years of age (a minor), you may access the Platform solely under the supervision and with the express consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.

The Indus Pulse reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, to add, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any feature, category, market feed, or functionality of the Platform at any time.
4. Code of Ethics & Regulatory Compliance (Part III, IT Rules 2021)

All content published or displayed on the Platform, including but not limited to news articles, Pulse Intelligence structures, text, analytical reports, charts, graphics, headlines, photographs, illustrations, audio, video, software code, UI designs, logos, trademarks, and source identifiers (collectively, the "Content"), is the exclusive proprietary property of The Indus Pulse or its third-party licensors and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and international intellectual property treaties.
"The Indus Pulse", the brand marks, typography, and logos are registered or common law trademarks of the Platform. You may not use, reproduce, copy, or display our trademarks without prior written authorization.
6. Strict Anti-Scraping & AI / LLM Training Restrictions
In alignment with global news publisher standards (including benchmark terms established by the BBC and leading media organizations), The Indus Pulse enforces strict legal prohibitions regarding automated data extraction and machine learning ingestion:
Express Prohibition on Automated Crawling, Scraping & AI Model Ingestion
Except as expressly permitted by applicable search engine indexing standards (such as standard web crawlers honoring robots.txt directives solely for the purpose of displaying search engine snippets and hyperlinks):
- No Scraping: You shall not use any robot, spider, scraper, deep-link, automated data extraction tool, algorithm, or methodology to extract, harvest, index, or reproduce Content from this Platform.
- No AI/LLM Training or Ingestion: You are strictly prohibited from using, copying, downloading, ingesting, or processing any Content from The Indus Pulse for the development, training, fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding, benchmarking, or validation of any artificial intelligence, machine learning model, large language model (LLM), neural network, or algorithmic system without an explicit, executed commercial licensing agreement signed by an authorized representative of The Indus Pulse.
- No Derivative AI Datasets: You shall not compile, serialize, distribute, or publish datasets containing our Content, headlines, metadata, or Pulse Intelligence syntheses.
Any unauthorized scraping, data harvesting, or automated commercial exploitation constitutes a direct violation of these Terms, an infringement under Section 51 of the Copyright Act, 1957, and an actionable offense under Section 43 and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, which shall be vigorously prosecuted in courts of competent jurisdiction.
7. Limited Permitted Use & Linking Rules
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and view the Content on the Platform solely for your personal, non-commercial, informational purposes.
Linking & Social Sharing Guidelines:
- You may share links to our articles on social media, messaging apps, and personal blogs provided you link directly to the canonical URL on
theinduspulse.com. - You may quote brief excerpts (not exceeding 50 words) under the doctrine of Fair Dealing (Section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957), provided you provide clear, prominent attribution and an active hyperlink back to the original article.

8. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities
In accordance with Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules 2021 and Section 66 of the IT Act 2000, you agree not to host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, store, update, or share any information through our feedback widgets, comment sections, or communication channels that:
- Belongs to another person and to which you do not have any right;
- Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, disparaging, or relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling;
- Is harmful to children or minors in any manner whatsoever (POCSO Act, 2012);
- Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other proprietary rights;
- Deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of the message or knowingly and intentionally communicates any misinformation or information which is patently false and untrue or misleading in nature;
- Impersonates another person or entity;
- Threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or causes incitement to the commission of any cognisable offence, or prevents investigation of any offence;
- Contains software viruses, malware, trojan horses, worms, or any other computer code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of any computer resource;
- Violates any law for the time being in force, including the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
9. Financial & Market Data Disclaimer (SEBI Compliance)

- Your violation of any applicable law, including the IT Act 2000, IT Rules 2021, Copyright Act 1957, DPDP Act 2023, or Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023;
- Your violation of any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- Any unauthorized automated scraping, crawling, or AI data extraction originating from your systems or credentials.
15. Statutory Grievance Redressal Mechanism (Rule 11 & Part III, IT Rules 2021)
In strict compliance with Rule 11 and Part III of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, as well as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, The Indus Pulse has established a robust, transparent 3-Tier Grievance Redressal Mechanism:

Level II & Level III: Self-Regulatory Body & Oversight
If a grievance is not resolved to the satisfaction of the complainant within fifteen (15) days at Level I, the complainant may escalate the appeal to the recognized Self-Regulatory Body of digital publishers (Level II) and subsequently to the Inter-Departmental Committee constituted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB), Government of India (Level III), as mandated under Rule 19 and Rule 20 of the IT Rules 2021.
16. Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: These Terms, the Governing Policies, and all disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform shall be governed by, construed, and interpreted in accordance with the substantive laws of the Republic of India, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
International Users: The Services are controlled, operated, and administered by The Indus Pulse from its facilities in India. If you choose to access our Services from outside India, you do so on your own initiative and agree that the laws of India govern your access, waiving any rights or claims under foreign jurisdictions.
Dispute Resolution & Arbitration:
- Any dispute, controversy, claim, or difference arising out of or relating to these Terms, including their validity, interpretation, breach, or termination, shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through mutual discussions within thirty (30) days.
- If not settled amicably, the dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually appointed by the parties.
- The seat and venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India, and the proceedings shall be conducted in the English language.
- Subject to arbitration, the courts of competent jurisdiction located at New Delhi, India shall have exclusive territorial and subject-matter jurisdiction over all legal proceedings.
17. Modifications, Severability & Miscellaneous
Amendments to Terms:We reserve the right to revise, update, or modify these Terms at any time to reflect legislative changes, technological enhancements, or regulatory directives. When changes are made, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued access to or use of the Platform following any amendment constitutes your deemed acceptance of the revised Terms.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable by an arbitrator or court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed and enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Editorial Standards, and Financial Data Disclaimer, constitute the entire, complete agreement between you and The Indus Pulse regarding your use of the Platform, superseding all prior written or oral understandings.
