Meta Launches Meta One Bundled Subscription in India Starting at Rs 549

Meta has officially launched Meta One in India and global markets, introducing a bundled subscription service that combines the features of its recently introduced WhatsApp Plus, Instagram Plus, and Facebook Plus plans alongside expanded access to compute-intensive AI tools. The service brings more than 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Meta AI under a single umbrella, while preserving the standard social media experience and basic Meta AI access for free users.
Individual consumers can choose between two main tiers under the new structure. The Meta One Core plan is priced at Rs 549 per month, while the higher-end Meta One Premium tier costs Rs 1,960 per month. Standalone single-app subscriptions remain available for users who prefer customisation on a specific platform, with WhatsApp Plus priced at Rs 79 per month, and Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus each costing Rs 99 per month. Meta reported that these individual plans, introduced earlier in the year, have already surpassed 15 million subscriptions and trials globally.

AI Limits and Creative Features Behind the Paywall

The primary driver for the Core and Premium bundles is significantly higher usage limits for Meta's demanding artificial intelligence tools. Subscribers gain extended capacity to generate AI images and videos, access additional creative tools, and utilize voice effects across Meta applications. According to company disclosures, early testing indicated that more than half of subscribers actively utilized both AI and expression features, with tools like Instagram Restyle and voice effects serving as key subscription catalysts.
Standalone Plus subscriptions offer platform-specific personalization. Instagram Plus provides custom fonts for Stories and direct messages, while Facebook Plus introduces customisation options and detailed insights for Reels. WhatsApp Plus delivers additional themes, icons, and chat management features, including scheduled focus modes currently undergoing testing.

Dedicated Professional Tiers for Creators and Businesses

The subscription structure also targets professional users through dedicated creator and business tiers designed to manage online presence and customer interactions. Essential bundle plans start at Rs 639 per month, offering a verified badge, a verified channel on the WhatsApp Business app, impersonation protection, and expanded access to the Meta Business Agent to handle customer inquiries throughout the day.
Advanced business plans are priced at Rs 2,099 per month, introducing professional publishing features such as story scheduling up to 30 days in advance, organic post and Reels links, exportable analytics, and deeper audience insights. Larger teams can manage accounts without exchanging passwords, while top-tier enterprise options scale up significantly. The Expert plan is priced at Rs 6,399 per month, and the maximum tier costs Rs 20,990 per month.

Implementation and Rollout Details

Meta stated that the subscription rollouts are taking place globally, though exact feature availability can vary depending on regional markets and individual accounts. The company also announced plans to expand the Meta One ecosystem to additional products, including Edits and its AI-powered smart glasses. The upcoming Edits Plus offering will provide extra cloud storage alongside an Edits assistant designed to analyze Instagram insights and generate content ideas.
