Apple Revamps India Subscriptions, Bundling TV and Arcade Into iCloud+

Apple has overhauled its subscription model in India, integrating Apple TV and Apple Arcade directly into its iCloud+ plans at no additional cost. This strategic shift, which began rolling out on September 15, 2026, marks the end of standalone subscriptions for Apple TV and Apple Arcade in the country. The company is also closing the Apple One bundle to new subscribers in India, signaling a move toward prioritizing iCloud+ as the primary entry point for its digital services.

Under the new structure, users who subscribe to any iCloud+ tier in India now gain access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade as part of their monthly storage fee. The entry-level plan starts at Rs 75 per month for 50GB of storage. Apple has confirmed that existing subscribers to the standalone services will be transitioned to the new iCloud+ model without interruption, and their individual subscriptions will be cancelled. For Apple Arcade users, the company has assured that all game progress and save data will be preserved during this migration.

Apple One, which previously bundled iCloud storage with Apple Music, Apple TV, and Apple Arcade, will no longer be available to new customers in India. Existing Apple One subscribers will retain access to their current plans, but the company is directing new users toward the expanded iCloud+ offerings. Notably, Apple Music remains excluded from the new iCloud+ bundle. Subscribers who wish to access the full Apple Music service must maintain a separate subscription, priced at Rs 115 per month for an individual plan or Rs 145 for a family plan. However, iCloud+ users will receive access to Apple Music Select, a collection of curated, ad-free music stations.

This subscription revamp is part of a broader initiative affecting more than 100 countries and regions. In India, Apple is leveraging existing carrier relationships to facilitate the transition. Airtel postpaid customers with an iPhone can access the expanded iCloud+ benefits through eligible plans. Those already receiving Apple TV via specific Airtel postpaid offerings are eligible to transition to the new combined bundle at no extra cost. The company noted that the availability of specific content and features may vary depending on the user's device and region.
