Apple Launches iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in India With Local Pro Manufacturing and Quick-Commerce Deliveries

Apple has commenced sales of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max across India, drawing queues outside retail locations in Bengaluru, Noida, and Mumbai. For the first time in the company operating history, India-manufactured Pro models are available directly on launch day, assembled locally at Foxconn and Tata Electronics facilities to supply domestic and international markets simultaneously.

Customers can purchase the new devices through Apple's online storefront, its six official retail stores, and authorized partners. Meanwhile, quick-commerce operators including Blinkit and Zepto have introduced simultaneous delivery services, partnering with local electronic vendors to drop off the high-end handsets within minutes in select metropolitan areas.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 for the 256GB storage variant, with higher capacities priced at ₹1,89,900 for 512GB, ₹2,39,900 for 1TB, and ₹3,14,900 for the 2TB model. The larger iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at ₹1,79,900 for the 256GB configuration, scaling up to ₹2,04,900, ₹2,54,900, and ₹3,29,900 for the 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB tiers respectively. These figures represent substantial increases compared to previous launch cycles, where the iPhone 17 Pro 256GB debuted at ₹1,34,900.

To encourage launch-week uptake, Apple and major financial institutions have rolled out promotional incentives. Buyers utilizing eligible cards from ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, and American Express can secure instant cashback up to ₹7,000 alongside six-month no-cost EMI plans. Additionally, Apple's official trade-in program provides exchange valuations reaching up to ₹81,500 depending on the condition of the customer's prior device.

The iPhone 18 Pro is built around a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the Pro Max version incorporates a larger 6.9-inch panel. Both screens feature ProMotion variable refresh rates up to 120Hz, peak outdoor brightness levels hitting 3,000 nits, Ceramic Shield 2 glass protection, and specialized anti-reflective coatings. The devices are offered in burgundy, glacier, black, and silver finishes.

Internal processing is driven by Apple's new 2nm-based A20 Pro chip. The silicon combines a six-core CPU, a seven-core GPU engineered to deliver up to 40 percent faster graphics performance than preceding generations, and a Dual 16-core Neural Engine coupled with 12GB of RAM. Battery endurance has also been extended, with official ratings spanning up to 36 hours of video playback for the Pro model and up to 45 hours for the Pro Max.

Photography capabilities rely on a triple 48-megapixel rear camera system. The primary Fusion camera features an adjustable aperture ranging from f/1.48 to f/4.0, working alongside dedicated 48MP Ultra Wide and 48MP Fusion Telephoto sensors to handle complex lighting conditions and high-resolution capture.

The inclusion of quick-commerce channels marks a notable evolution in how luxury consumer electronics are distributed in urban centers. Operating from 8 am on release day across Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai, rapid delivery platforms bypass conventional courier windows, reflecting shifting retail expectations among urban tech consumers.
