Four separate companies concluded their initial public offerings on Indian stock exchanges with robust investor demand, highlighted by Kanohar Electricals leading the pack with a 90.59 times subscription rate. The flurry of capital market activity showcased widespread investor appetite across varied industrial sectors, ranging from power transformers and solar manufacturing to specialized engineering and industrial steam distribution.
The public issues, which closed their bidding windows between 10 and 11 September 2026, collectively drew billions of rupees in bids as institutional and retail investors sought stakes in manufacturing and infrastructure-adjacent businesses. Stock exchange data released at the close of bidding detailed significant oversubscriptions across all four offerings, reflecting sustained liquidity in the primary market despite broader equity pressures.
Kanohar Electricals Leads Surge With Record 90.59 Subscription
Kanohar Electricals emerged as the most heavily subscribed public offering among the cohort, drawing bids for 105.92 crore shares against 1.16 crore shares on offer to close at 90.59 times subscription. Qualified institutional buyers led the charge with a 215.37 times subscription rate, while non-institutional investors bid 87.74 times and retail participants subscribed 20.51 times. The transformer manufacturer had previously raised Rs 316.72 crore from anchor investors on 7 September 2026 by allotting 50.11 lakh shares at Rs 632 each.
The firm, promoted by technocrat Dinesh Singhal, plans to utilize Rs 64.18 crore of the fresh issue proceeds to fund capital expenditure requirements at its Gangol plant. This includes purchasing plant and machinery to expand transformer manufacturing capacity, automating backward integration facilities, constructing an office building, and executing sustainability initiatives such as solar power installations. An additional Rs 155 crore is earmarked for incremental working capital, backed by an order book standing at Rs 1,818.32 crore as of 31 March 2026.
Karamtara Engineering Attracts Heavy Buying for Solar Expansion
Karamtara Engineering closed its initial public offering on 11 September 2026 with an overall subscription of 62.63 times, fueled by bids for 1.59 crore shares against 54.43 lakh shares on offer. Promoted by Tanveer Singh, Rajiv Singh, and Inderjeet Singh, the company operates as a major manufacturer of solar mounting structures and transmission towers. Ahead of the public opening, the firm secured Rs 262.49 crore from anchor investors on 8 August 2026 by allotting 1.03 crore shares at Rs 254 each.
The fresh issue component of Rs 675 crore will primarily direct Rs 600 crore toward prepaying or repaying outstanding company borrowings. Karamtara reported consolidated sales of Rs 4,311.98 crore and a net profit of Rs 228.76 crore for the twelve months ended 31 March 2026. The company derives the vast majority of its revenue from renewable products, exporting to over 50 countries with a notable operational footprint in international markets including the United States.
Steamhouse India and LCC Projects Secure Solid Retail and Institutional Interest
Steamhouse India wrapped up its bidding period on 11 September 2026 with a 30.49 times subscription rate, securing bids for 1.14 billion shares against 3.76 crore shares on offer within a price band of Rs 77 to Rs 81 per share. The company raised Rs 124.19 crore from anchor investors ahead of the opening. Funds raised from the fresh issue will channel Rs 180 crore toward debt repayment, Rs 75.95 crore toward capacity expansion at its Ankleshwar and Ponali facilities, and Rs 38.17 crore toward setting up a manufacturing facility for steam generation at Dahej GIDC.
Simultaneously, LCC Projects closed its public offering with a 48.51 times subscription, gathering bids for 1.01 billion shares against 54.43 lakh shares available. Promoted by Arjan Suja Rabari and Laljibhai Arjanbhai Ahir, the multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, and construction firm focuses on irrigation and water supply projects. LCC secured Rs 128.14 crore from anchor investors and intends to apply Rs 180 crore from its fresh issue toward debt reduction and Rs 14.691 crore toward equipment purchases, operating from a robust order book valued at Rs 7,953.18 crore.
Capital Deployment Strategy and Market Context
A recurring theme across the four primary market offerings is the aggressive use of fresh issue proceeds for debt restructuring and operational scaling. Kanohar Electricals, Karamtara Engineering, Steamhouse India, and LCC Projects have collectively slated hundreds of crores of rupees from their IPO receipts to prepay or eliminate outstanding borrowings, aiming to strengthen their balance sheets amidst broader macroeconomic headwinds that have pressured headline indices.
The listings occur against a backdrop of fluctuating secondary market conditions, where rising yields and crude price surges have occasionally weighed on broader equity sentiment. Despite these macro pressures, the heavy oversubscription figures demonstrate robust domestic capital allocation toward industrial, infrastructure, and renewable energy suppliers that maintain significant government order books and export capabilities.
Allotment finalization and subsequent listing dates on the stock exchanges remain the pending milestones for investors following the successful conclusion of the bidding windows.
