Nani Starrer The Paradise Secures A Certificate From CBFC Ahead Of Worldwide Release

Actor Nani and director Srikanth Odela's upcoming multilingual action drama The Paradise has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification with an A certificate ahead of its September 24 theatrical debut. The film, produced by SLV Cinemas, has generated substantial pre-release interest, crossing Rs 7.85 crore in advance ticket sales across its first four days with block seats included, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

The certification arrived following mandated cuts and modifications requested by the censor board. According to censor details, the board directed the removal of ten violent scenes involving torture and blood spills, alongside reductions in the duration of stabbing sequences. Additional modifications included replacing alternate visuals of a crow on the National Flag, altering an opening scene featuring a pregnant woman, modifying or muting three references to armed struggle against the country, and removing a historical reference to a real-life assassination event and a commercial cigarette brand. A foul word was permitted in a single instance while muted elsewhere, and a character tattoo containing offensive language was concealed using CGI, while the term denotified tribe was deleted.

Following these adjustments, the film was officially passed by the CBFC on September 21 with a certified runtime of 173.04 minutes, corresponding to 2 hours, 53 minutes and 4 seconds. Addressing the adult rating on social media, the makers stated that while the emotional core of the narrative is accessible to everyone, the rawness surrounding Nani's central character Jadal is strictly intended for adult audiences. Lead actor Nani echoed this sentiment in a public post on X, noting that the content carries a universal resonance despite the restrictive advisory guidelines.

The venture marks the second collaboration between Nani and Srikanth Odela following their previous film Dasara. The multi-language release strategy encompasses eight distinct linguistic versions, comprising Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, English, Spanish, Bengali, Kannada, and Malayalam. The supporting ensemble features Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu, and Sonali Kulkarni, with musical composition handled by Anirudh Ravichander.

Pre-release ticket sales indicate strong commercial traction in regional markets, led heavily by opening day transactions. Out of the total pre-sales crossing Rs 7.85 crore over four days with block seats, the opening day on September 24 accounts for the vast majority of consumer demand. Without block seats, the Day 1 gross crossed Rs 1.25 crore from approximately 58,000 tickets sold across 1,029 shows. Including block seats, the opening day figure reaches approximately Rs 3.81 crore.

Geographical distribution data shows Hyderabad anchoring city-wise contributions with around Rs 1.66 crore in Day 1 gross including block seats. Bengaluru follows with Rs 33.58 lakh, while Vijayawada and Guntur recorded Rs 15.61 lakh and Rs 12.72 lakh respectively. State-level figures place Telangana at approximately Rs 2.4 crore in opening day advance bookings, followed by Andhra Pradesh at Rs 92.46 lakh, Karnataka at Rs 35.04 lakh, and Tamil Nadu at Rs 11.53 lakh.

Trade analysts tracking the film have projected a worldwide opening day gross of Rs 50 crore, which would surpass opening benchmarks established by Nani's previous releases. Current records for the actor are held by HIT: The Third Case, which registered around Rs 38 crore worldwide on its opening day, closely followed by Dasara with a Rs 36.25 crore worldwide gross on day one.

Ticket sales for subsequent dates show a standard post-opening deceleration in advance purchases. Pre-sales for September 25 crossed Rs 13 lakh across 504 shows, September 26 recorded Rs 9 lakh across 474 shows, and September 27 stood at Rs 6 lakh across 439 shows, excluding block seats. Special premiere screenings are scheduled to begin on September 23 ahead of the simultaneous worldwide rollout.
