The upcoming science-fiction action drama Raaka, starring Allu Arjun and directed by Atlee, has secured an official Guinness World Record for the Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time prior to its theatrical release. Announced by production house Sun Pictures to coincide with Atlee's 40th birthday, the milestone was achieved by simultaneously capturing 37 performers during a sequence filmed in Mumbai.

The certification, officially registered on September 15, 2026, marks the first major technical milestone for the high-profile collaboration. Both lead actor Allu Arjun and director Atlee received the official Guinness World Records certificate, which Sun Pictures published alongside behind-the-scenes footage documenting the technical setup.

The record-breaking sequence required an extensive physical and digital framework to capture dozens of performers in a single session without losing individual motion data. According to production documentation detailed in industry reports, the execution utilized 92 optical motion-capture cameras.

The hardware array was supported by synchronized calibration, networking, and real-time visualization systems. Facial capture devices and witness cameras were integrated into the capture environment to ensure the performers' expressions and movements were recorded simultaneously during the Mumbai sessions.

Raaka is produced by Sun Pictures and marks the first creative partnership between Allu Arjun and director Atlee. The project features an ensemble cast that includes Deepika Padukone in a principal role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur.

While official plot details remain tightly controlled by the studio, industry reports indicate that Allu Arjun is slated to portray four distinct characters, reportedly spanning a grandfather, a father, and two sons. Unconfirmed speculation has also linked the narrative to parallel universes, though producers have not verified these story elements.

Makers have not yet disclosed an official theatrical release date for Raaka, though current industry tracking places its arrival in 2027. Production schedules previously encountered a brief adjustment following a reported hip injury sustained by Rashmika Mandanna, which temporarily paused filming sequences for 45 days.

With the motion-capture phase completed and certified, the project continues its extensive visual effects post-production cycle. Producers have indicated that further teasers and technical previews will be released closer to the eventual theatrical premiere.
