Royal Enfield Expands Flying Flea EV Brand to Chennai With 14 Outlets

Royal Enfield has expanded its dedicated electric motorcycle division, Flying Flea, into Chennai by introducing plans for 14 customer sales and service touchpoints. The strategic southern expansion elevates the electric marque's nationwide presence to 40 operational locations distributed across four major metropolitan areas. Chennai represents the fourth domestic market entered by the brand, joining established urban networks operating across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune. Within Chennai, the manufacturer plans to launch two flagship company-operated showrooms positioned in the commercial corridors of OMR and Adyar. The remaining 12 retail outlets will function alongside existing Royal Enfield dealerships, expanding reach across key neighbourhoods including Anna Nagar and Tambaram.
Urban Service Infrastructure and Network Coverage
In addition to core southern suburbs, retail touchpoints will extend into commercial clusters across Pallikaranai, Avadi, Tondiarpet, and Nandanam. Royal Enfield has designated 11 service centres across Chennai staffed by dedicated technical personnel to perform routine maintenance and diagnostic repairs. Every Flying Flea C6 motorcycle delivered to purchasers will include complimentary 24x7 roadside assistance coverage for customer transit support. Prior to entering Chennai, the electric mobility brand established 12 operational touchpoints in Bengaluru, four in Hyderabad, and 10 in Pune. Rather than constructing exclusively independent retail stores, the manufacturer co-locates display spaces within established dealerships to accelerate retail footprint expansion. The Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 achieves an Indian Driving Cycle certified operating range of 156 kilometers per charge, according to DriveSpark. Royal Enfield offers the Flying Flea C6 as the electric mobility brand's halo product targeted at urban commuters, according to BikeWale.
Flying Flea C6 Pricing and Battery Subscription
The brand's premier production model, the Flying Flea C6, carries a standard ex-showroom retail price of 2.79 lakh rupees (₹2.79 lakh). Under the BaaS commercial framework, the traction battery is leased separately through recurring subscription payments, lowering upfront purchase costs by 80000 rupees (₹80,000). The retro-styled electric two-wheeler is available to consumers in three distinct paint schemes: Storm Black, Flea Green, and Parachute White. The C6 aesthetic draws historical design inspiration from Royal Enfield's compact, lightweight airborne military motorcycles deployed during the 1940s. The Flying Flea C6 features a 3.9kWh battery pack, according to BikeWale.
Mechanical Architecture and Product Lineup Expansion
At the international EICMA 2026 exhibition, Royal Enfield showcased its upcoming adventure-focused scrambler sibling, the Flying Flea S6. The upcoming S6 scrambler incorporates a conventional chain drive mechanism alongside a 3.5-inch circular TFT touchscreen instrument cluster running in-house software. The manufacturer's broader multi-powertrain adventure portfolio includes internal combustion platforms like the Himalayan 450 alongside development of the electric Him-E prototype. With retail and servicing infrastructure established in Chennai, Royal Enfield continues laying commercial foundations to support its long-term electric motorcycle ambitions.
