Kia India Establishes Monthly Sales Benchmark Driven by Seltos and Electrified Models

Kia India achieved its highest monthly wholesale volume in October 2026, delivering 33,462 units across the domestic market, RushLane reported. The performance reflected 13.22 percent year-on-year expansion compared with 29,556 units recorded during October 2025, adding 3,906 vehicles to total dispatches. October marked the second consecutive month in which the automaker established an all-time monthly delivery high, surpassing September's previous record of 32,017 units by 4.51 percent. Overall passenger vehicle registrations across India approached the five-lakh mark during the festive period, Autocar India noted.
Cumulative Ten-Month Volume and Full-Year Comparisons
Between January and October 2026, Kia's cumulative wholesales reached 2,86,470 units, compared with 2,36,138 units in the corresponding period last year, RushLane reported. This 10-month performance represents 21.31 percent volume expansion, reflecting an addition of 50,332 vehicles. With two calendar months remaining, the automaker's 2026 cumulative deliveries have already surpassed its entire full-year 2025 sales total of 2,80,286 units by 6,184 vehicles. Average monthly wholesale volume across the first ten months of the year reached approximately 28,647 vehicles.
Kia India needs to dispatch 13,530 additional vehicles over November and December combined to hit the milestone of 3 lakh units for the 2026 calendar year, according to AutoPunditz.
Core SUV Performance and Seltos Volume Dominance
The Seltos sport utility vehicle and the Sonet subcompact crossover remained the primary volume contributors in October, RushLane noted. Seltos dispatches crossed 13,000 units during the month, representing roughly 39 percent of Kia's consolidated domestic deliveries. The Seltos model has maintained average monthly dispatches exceeding 10,000 units since the introduction of the refreshed model in January 2026. The Carens multi-purpose vehicle and Carens Clavis models continued providing steady contributions to the brand's family-oriented passenger vehicle portfolio. Kia also observed positive market engagement for the Sorento premium crossover, which is available in both hybrid and diesel powertrain configurations, RushLane noted.
Electrified Vehicle Expansion and Alternative Fuel Powertrains
Electrified and alternative fuel powertrains contributed significantly to the automaker's monthly performance, Autocar India reported. Kia posted its highest monthly electric vehicle volume in October, with deliveries expanding 31 percent sequentially over September, supported by the Syros EV and Carens Clavis EV. Compressed natural gas variants of the Carens and Carens Clavis accounted for close to 10 percent of Kia's overall domestic deliveries during October. Expanding sales across these newly introduced vehicle lines broadens the manufacturer's commercial footprint across petrol, diesel, gas, hybrid, and electric propulsion technologies, RushLane reported. Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing Atul Sood stated that positive festive momentum and customer interest in diverse powertrain options supported overall brand growth.
