Kawasaki Reveals Euro5+-Compliant 2027 Ninja H2 With Revised Supercharger and Brembo Hypure Brakes

Kawasaki has officially revealed the 2027 Ninja H2, marking the return of its supercharged flagship to European markets with comprehensive mechanical and emission updates. The updated 998cc inline-four engine produces 200 PS at 11,000rpm, reaching 209 PS with Ram Air, and generates 135 Nm of peak torque at 8,500rpm. While maximum output is slightly reduced compared to previous iterations, the revisions allow the motorcycle to meet stringent Euro5+ emissions standards while improving low- to mid-range torque delivery.

The public reveal follows a cryptic teaser campaign featuring the signature supercharger whine and the tagline Return To Beyond Belief. The 2027 model retains the familiar trellis frame and overall aerodynamic silhouette of the H2 family, but incorporates substantive internal redesigns across the powertrain and hardware ecosystem.

The 998cc liquid-cooled supercharged engine has undergone extensive internal reconstruction. Kawasaki redesigned the intake system and the supercharger impeller, alongside fitting revised pistons, a new cylinder head, and a redesigned crankshaft. These engineering changes target improved throttle response across low and mid-range engine speeds while securing emissions compliance for European markets.

Complementing the internal engine updates is a new single-exit exhaust system. Replacing the previous twin-exit configuration used on earlier generations, the lighter exhaust layout aligns with the design approach seen on the H2 SX and Z H2 models. Power is transmitted through a six-speed gearbox, supported by a 17-litre fuel tank and an overall kerb weight of 238kg.

Stopping power on the 2027 Ninja H2 has been significantly upgraded with the adoption of Brembo Hypure four-piston monobloc front calipers, replacing the Stylema units featured on the outgoing model. The front braking setup utilizes dual 330mm semi-floating Brembo discs, paired with a 250mm rear disc. Kawasaki states that the Hypure calipers deliver enhanced braking control through higher structural rigidity and improved thermal performance.

The suspension arrangement remains anchored by an adjustable KYB inverted fork at the front and an Öhlins TTX36 shock absorber at the rear. The machine rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 120/70 front and 200/55 rear tyres, maintaining the same underlying chassis geometry and dimensions as previous variants.

Rider management electronics have been updated with a revised cockpit display. The new instrumentation pairs an analog-style tachometer with a color TFT screen, mirroring the unit utilized on the Ninja H2 SX. The interface provides telemetry data, including pitch and lean-angle visualizations, alongside supercharger operating metrics.

The machine comes equipped with Kawasaki's comprehensive electronic suite, featuring Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM), and integrated riding modes designed to manage power delivery and traction parameters according to road conditions. Cruise control is also integrated into the standard electronic package.

In the United Kingdom, the standard 2027 Kawasaki Ninja H2 is priced at £28,600, equivalent to approximately Rs 36.90 lakh based on currency conversions. Alongside the base model, Kawasaki has confirmed an H2 Carbon variant priced at £31,350 (approx. Rs 40.44 lakh), which features a carbon-fiber-reinforced upper cowling for visual differentiation.

Kawasaki has also confirmed a spring 2027 launch for the Ninja H2 Carbon in Japan, bringing the model back to its domestic market after a six-year hiatus. Official availability and pricing for the Indian market remain unconfirmed by Kawasaki India, leaving local enthusiasts waiting for formal announcements regarding homologation and future sales.
