Vocci has introduced a new wearable meeting notetaker built in a ring form factor, competing against existing pendant and clip-style recording gadgets. Weighing under six grams, the titanium-coated device utilizes a physical button to start and stop audio capture while offering features designed for long-form workplace conversations.

The hardware is built to handle lengthy sessions, successfully transcribing conversations lasting over an hour even in loud environments such as cafes. However, the form factor is less suited for brief reminders, and reviewers note that the companion application presents navigation hurdles, redundant menu tabs, and occasionally generates AI summaries that run longer than the original notes.

The ring features a lightweight construction of under six grams with titanium inner and outer surface coatings. Users can double-press the physical button to toggle recording or tap and hold to query the built-in AI assistant when the mobile application is actively open. While the company supports the Model Context Protocol to link with auxiliary assistants, advanced integration features appeared weeks after initial release, and the platform lacks direct syncing with standard mobile reminder apps. At a retail price of $249, the device positions itself as a premium alternative to established competitors like Plaud or Pocket.

The ring's discreet appearance, resembling standard jewelry, introduces distinct privacy challenges. Because the recording indicator faces the wearer, other participants in a conversation may remain unaware that audio is being captured. Legal requirements in multiple jurisdictions mandate prior notification before recording dialogues.
