HMD has launched the HMD 2660 Flip Senior Edition in the United Kingdom for £79.99, pairing a classic clamshell feature phone with a built-in conversational AI companion named Mary developed for older adults in partnership with inTouch, Mezha.net, Nokiamob and LiveMint reported. Available through HMD's UK online storefront, the handset includes an introductory five-hour trial of conversations with Mary before an optional, non-auto-renewing monthly subscription applies, according to LiveMint, Mezha.net and Nokiamob.

inTouch CEO and Co-Founder Vassili le Moigne stated that in the 16,000 conversations Mary has held since inTouch launched the AI companion, older adults have prominently used the service to share family stories and memories.

Alongside its UK launch via gb.shop.hmd.com/intouch, HMD and inTouch launched a limited edition of the handset in France via fr.shop.hmd.com/intouch at €79.90.

Mary AI Companion Access, Pacing And Subscription Rules

Built with inTouch, a company that specialises in AI call services for older people, Mary is reachable around the clock directly from the main menu by selecting the Mary icon and pressing the dedicated call button, without installing apps, dialling a phone number or remembering passwords, LiveMint, Mezha.net and Nokiamob reported. Initial activation is the only step that may require a relative's help, as it involves scanning a QR code inside the box or visiting an activation web page, according to Mezha.net and Nokiamob.

inTouch generates call transcripts and short conversation summaries to analyse mood levels and share them with the family members who purchased the service and designated trusted relatives, according to inTouch (AI Touch s.r.o.).

According to HMD, Mary uses simple vocabulary, speaks at a slower pace, waits through long conversational pauses, and remembers context from previous interactions so seniors can discuss history and nature, share stories, ask questions, play memory games or chat, LiveMint and Nokiamob reported. HMD states that conversations with Mary are encrypted and private, and that inTouch emails the registered address when the five-hour trial is running low; if a user does not opt into the monthly plan, no automatic charge is made and the handset continues operating as a standard flip phone without Mary, LiveMint and Nokiamob reported.

inTouch states that conversations are encrypted and stored securely in the EU in line with GDPR and UK GDPR, personal data is not sold or used for advertising, and personal data is deleted when no longer needed or when a user requests deletion.

Clamshell Hardware Specifications And IP54 Durability

The Senior Edition builds on the standard HMD 2660 Flip unveiled at MWC Barcelona in March 2025 and shares its design heritage with the 2022 Nokia 2660 Flip, featuring large physical buttons, a 2.8-inch QVGA internal display and a 1.77-inch QQVGA external screen for checking time and caller ID, Mezha.net and Nokiamob reported. Powered by a Unisoc T107 chip paired with 64MB of memory and 128MB of onboard storage under the S30+ software platform, the folding handset lets owners pick up or hang up calls simply by flipping the shell open or shut, LiveMint, Mezha.net and Nokiamob reported.

On HMD's official India store, the Nokia 2660 Flip 4G is listed at ₹5,199 with an MRP of ₹5,899.

Power comes from a removable 1,450mAh battery that charges via USB-C and is rated by HMD for up to 8.1 hours of talk time, while the body measures 198.9 x 55 x 19mm, weighs 136.4g, and includes Bluetooth 5.0, a 3.5mm headphone jack, wired and wireless FM radio, an MP3 player, dual microphones, a single speaker, a Nano SIM slot and a 0.3MP rear camera, Mezha.net and Nokiamob reported. The handset carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash protection, though HMD notes that resistance can diminish with normal wear and advises users to dry the phone if wet and never charge it while connectors are damp, LiveMint reported.
