Google Launches Screenless Fitbit Air in India at Rs 13,999 with Gemini Health AI

Google has launched its screenless Fitbit Air health tracker in India, priced at Rs 13,999. First introduced globally in May 2026, the device is engineered as Google's smallest and lightest Fitbit wearable, designed specifically for continuous fitness monitoring without the visual distractions of a traditional smartwatch display or notification pings.
The Fitbit Air goes on sale through the Google Store and retail partners on 2 October for ₹13,999. Buyers can also seamlessly alternate between their Pixel Watch during daytime hours and the Fitbit Air for sleep tracking.
The tracker integrates directly into Google's revamped health ecosystem, pairing with the Google Health app to provide personalized wellness insights powered by the Gemini-backed Google Health Coach. Users interact with all telemetry data exclusively through their smartphones rather than on the wrist.
The device is not intended for medical purposes, and sleep tracking features should not be used to diagnose or treat medical conditions. Additionally, users under 22 years old with known arrhythmias should avoid using it.
Health Telemetry and Gemini Integration
Despite omitting a physical screen, the Fitbit Air supports a comprehensive suite of advanced physiological tracking tools. The wearable provides 24/7 continuous heart rate monitoring, resting heart rate tracking, heart rate variability, SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring, skin temperature tracking, and atrial fibrillation notifications.
For exercise tracking, the device features automatic workout detection for common physical activities. Users can also manually log training sessions or utilize AI-assisted logging tools within the Google Health app, such as capturing photographs of gym equipment or workout boards for automated activity recording.
Battery Endurance and Charging Architecture
The hardware is built around a low-profile, lightweight chassis that measures 8.3mm in thickness and weighs just 12 grams with its band attached. It carries a 5ATM water resistance rating, allowing immersion up to 50 meters.
Power efficiency is a central design focus, delivering up to seven days of continuous battery life on a single charge. The device supports fast charging, providing a full day of operational battery life from a brief five-minute charge, while a full 90-minute charge restores maximum capacity.
Pricing, Variants, and Retail Availability
Google has priced the Fitbit Air at Rs 13,999 in the Indian market, bundling a three-month trial of Google Health Premium for complete access to the Google Health Coach features. The tracker is available through the Google Store, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales, and partnered retail networks across the country.
Subscribers to Google AI Pro and Ultra plans receive Google Health Premium included at no additional cost.
To accommodate diverse user preferences, the device ships with an interchangeable pebble design and three distinct band styles: the recycled-material Performance Loop Band for everyday comfort, the sweat-resistant silicone Active Band for intense workouts, and the jewellery-inspired Elevated Modern Band. Colour variants available to buyers include Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog.
