The Edinburgh Castle Rockers clinched the inaugural European T20 Premier League title by defeating the Belfast Wolves by seven wickets at the Malahide Cricket Club Ground in County Dublin. Chasing a target of 151, the Castle Rockers reached 151 for 3 with eight balls to spare, propelled by a commanding, unbeaten 90 off 61 deliveries from United States international Andries Gous. The tournament itself marks a historic expansion for European franchise cricket, co-founded by Indian actor-entrepreneur Abhishek Bachchan and Indian investors in partnership with Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association.

The Belfast Wolves had earlier posted 150 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs after losing the toss and being asked to bat first on Ireland's largest cricket venue, which features an 11,500-seat capacity within the Malahide Castle demesne. Opener Tim Tector anchored the innings with a patient 84 not out off 62 balls, scoring more than half of his team's total runs. The Castle Rockers chase commenced with a unique family confrontation as elder brother Ross Adair opened the batting against younger brother Mark Adair, who took the new ball for the Wolves. Andries Gous dismantled the Wolves bowling attack to ensure the mid-innings slowdown remained temporary.
