Saatvik Green Shares Surge 10% on Rs 1,041 Crore SECI Solar Order
Shares of renewable energy manufacturer Saatvik Green Energy climbed as much as 10% to hit an intraday high of Rs 428.25 on the Bombay Stock Exchange following the disclosure of a major domestic supply contract. The company announced it has secured and accepted an order from the Solar Energy Corporation of India for the provision of solar photovoltaic modules carrying an aggregate value of Rs 1,041.63 crore.
The large-scale domestic procurement arrives as demand for solar components expands across the national renewable sector. According to regulatory filings submitted by the firm, the commercial agreement is scheduled for complete execution by December 2027. Saatvik Green Energy also confirmed through regulatory disclosures that neither its corporate promoters nor any associated group entities hold financial interests in the Solar Energy Corporation of India, confirming the transaction is independent of any related-party arrangements.
Valuation Metrics and Market Momentum
The share price appreciation drove the small-cap equity to its upper circuit during early trading sessions, though the stock continues to trade below its 52-week peak of Rs 580. Market capitalisation for the company stands at approximately Rs 5,339 crore. Financial valuation ratios place the Price-to-Earnings metric at 20.29, alongside a Price-to-Sales ratio of 1.05 and a Price-to-Book ratio of 3.70.
Technical indicators reflect mixed momentum across moving averages. The equity holds positions above five of its eight key Simple Moving Averages, though it continues to trade below its 50-day, 100-day, and 150-day simple moving averages following a cooling period. That preceding consolidation phase saw the share price decline 2% over a one-month window and 13% over three months, despite recording a 20% gain across the prior six-month period.
Institutional Interest and Manufacturing Capacity
Institutional participation in the renewable energy firm shifted during the June 2026 quarter. Foreign Institutional Investor holdings edged upward from 0.03% to 0.19%, while mutual fund allocation increased from 10.10% to 10.48% over the same reporting period. To support large-scale order fulfillment, the manufacturer operates a solar photovoltaic module production capacity of 4.8 GW annually at its primary facility in Ambala, Haryana, and is expanding its footprint with an upcoming integrated facility in Odisha designed to add further module and solar cell manufacturing capabilities.
The SECI contract follows an earlier order secured earlier in the month, wherein the manufacturer bagged contracts aggregating Rs 297.5 crore from two separate independent power producers and engineering, procurement, and construction players for solar module deliveries. Saatvik Green Energy previously completed its initial public offering, raising Rs 900 crore after garnering a 6.57 times subscription between September 19 and September 23 before listing flat at its issue price of Rs 465 per share on the National Stock Exchange.
Execution of the newly awarded SECI contract will run through December 2027 as the manufacturer works to fulfill the large-scale module delivery requirements.
