State broadcaster Doordarshan unveiled the first look for Suraag 2.0, a reboot of the iconic crime thriller Suraag, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The original Suraag was a landmark crime series on DD National, known for its one-case-per-episode format and starring Sudesh Berry as Inspector Bharat.
Sudesh Berry will reprise his role as Inspector Bharat in Suraag 2.0, with Sai Ketan Rao and Jigyasa Singh joining the new cast. The revival marks a reunion between Sri Adhikari Brothers and Doordarshan under Prasar Bharati, a partnership that was crucial in the production house's early history and its contributions to Indian television. Suraag 2.0 is slated to air soon on DD National, though an exact premiere date has not been publicly released.
