Ramayana Makers Drop New Character Posters Featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash Ahead of Diwali 2026 Release

The creators of director Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious mythological film Ramayana have unveiled a fresh wave of character artwork, showcasing lead actors Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Ravie Dubey together during exile, alongside an imposing individual portrait of Yash as Ravana. Released following a promotional gathering in Mumbai that featured American YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, widely known as MrBeast, the campaign assets have heightened anticipation for the cinematic adaptation.
Produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in partnership with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations, the two-part project is structured to arrive globally in IMAX theaters. Part 1 is scheduled for a theatrical launch during Diwali 2026, while the second installment is slated for Diwali 2027.
The film features a multilingual rollout utilizing AI-powered lip-sync technology developed by partner studio DNEG. Partner studio DNEG has also previously received multiple Academy Awards for Visual Effects across various acclaimed feature films.
Unveiling the Vanvaas Visuals and Ensemble Cast
The newly distributed group visual captures Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman standing together in traditional saffron attire during their forest exile, carrying bows. Distributed via official social media channels with the caption "Together Always, in Dharma," the poster emphasizes the emotional core and familial bond of the narrative rather than action sequences.
Industry observers and fans have noted the significance of bringing the trio together in a single promotional frame. The ensemble cast features established names in pivotal roles, including Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as the antagonist Ravana, Arun Govil as Dashrath, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, and Kunal Kapoor as Indra.
Yash Portrays Ravana Against Golden Lanka Background
In contrast to the serene forest imagery, a separate character poster highlights Yash in elaborate traditional dark and gold attire as the ruler of Lanka. Accompanied by the caption "The ruler of all 3 worlds, Ravana," the visual frames the character against his golden kingdom, generating strong social media engagement regarding the scale of the production.
Fans across digital platforms praised the visual grandeur and the distinct aesthetic contrast between the exile sequence and the antagonist's domain. The promotional rollout follows months of steady anticipation surrounding the casting choices for the multi-lingual feature, which is slated to open in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
MrBeast Appearance Surprises Mumbai Event Audience
The promotional rollout gained additional social media traction following a Mumbai fan event attended by content creator MrBeast. During the gathering, Ranbir Kapoor guided the YouTuber through chanting "Jai Shri Ram," a moment that quickly circulated online.
Producer Namit Malhotra also referenced literary parallels during the presentation, while Kapoor outlined the character arc of Lord Ram for the visiting creator, describing him as an ideal man who sacrificed princely comforts to fulfill familial obligations. Ramayana: Part 1 is slated to hit international screens on November 6, 2026, ahead of its domestic Diwali rollout on November 8.
