Ajay Devgn's thriller Drishyam 3: The Conclusion maintained robust momentum at the box office on Saturday, crossing the Rs 100 crore net milestone in India within two days of release. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film opened on October 2 to coincide with the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, collecting a staggering Rs 62 crore net domestically on its first day. On its second day across 16,868 shows, the movie added Rs 53.50 crore net, marking a mild 13.7 percent dip from its opening figures.

The domestic net collection for the Hindi franchise conclusion now stands at Rs 115.50 crore, with total India gross earnings reaching Rs 138.60 crore. Bolstered by an international collection of Rs 20 crore on Saturday that elevated its overseas gross to Rs 38.50 crore, the film's worldwide gross haul reached Rs 177.10 crore after just 48 hours in cinemas.

According to The Economic Times, early Day 3 tracking across 372 shows logged Rs 0.80 crore net, taking cumulative domestic gross earnings to Rs 139.54 crore and net collections to Rs 116.30 crore. According to The Economic Times, filmmaker Abhishek Pathak stated that Drishyam 3 was conceived to provide a conclusive original resolution for the Hindi franchise rather than direct adaptation.

Occupancy Rates and Screen Performance

Show occupancies remained high throughout Saturday, averaging 54.54 percent across all screenings. Morning shows registered 28.77 percent occupancy, climbing steadily to 51.46 percent in the afternoon and 61.31 percent during evening slots. Evening and late-night screenings drew peak attendance with a 76.62 percent fill rate while crowds filled cinemas during the festive break.

Trade analysts noted that the film's Day 2 net collection of Rs 53.50 crore represents a career-best second day for Ajay Devgn, surpassing previous benchmarks set by Singham Again and Raid. Pre-release momentum also translated into strong advance bookings for subsequent days, with Sacnilk reporting 8.51 lakh tickets sold and Rs 30.20 crore grossed in advance bookings for Day 3 alone, including blocked seats.

Franchise Comparison and Original Script Strategy

Drishyam 3 has dramatically outpaced its predecessors at the same point in their theatrical runs. While the 2015 original opened with Rs 5.85 crore and grossed around Rs 110 crore worldwide, and its 2022 sequel opened at Rs 15.38 crore on its way to a Rs 342 crore global lifetime, the third installment has more than doubled previous opening trajectories.

Unlike direct remakes of earlier franchise entries, the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam 3 follows an original story path distinct from the Malayalam original starring Mohanlal. This creative choice has drawn praise from critics and audiences, though reviews have remained mixed regarding the impact of the final climax reveal.

Critical Reception and Trade Projections

Industry observers and critics have offered varied evaluations of the conclusion. While performances by the leading trinity of Ajay Devgn, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Prakash Raj received widespread acclaim for maintaining tight pacing across a 2.5-runtime, responses to the climax twist divided opinion. Nevertheless, trade projections suggest the film is well-positioned to cross Rs 190 crore over its opening weekend and challenge the Rs 200 crore global threshold before Monday morning.
