For Bipasha Basu, the decision to join Barabanki was swift. Reports indicate that the actor had long held a desire to work with Hansal Mehta, and she agreed to the project immediately upon being approached. "Everybody in the business told me, ‘Do not do this film.’ They said I would be finished if I did something which had a little bit of erotica," she told Elle India.
