BGauss has officially expanded its electric two-wheeler portfolio in India with the introduction of the C12 MaxR, positioning the model as the brand's new flagship offering. The electric scooter arrives with a standard ex-showroom price of Rs 1.60 lakh, excluding the PM E-Drive subsidy, though an introductory pricing structure temporarily lowers the effective cost to Rs 1.46 lakh.
Built to compete in the growing urban mobility segment, the newly unveiled scooter joins existing models such as the RUV 350, C12 Max, and Oowah in the manufacturer's lineup. The rollout underscores the company's broader push into higher-specification urban electric vehicles designed around enhanced battery capacity and integrated powertrain engineering.
WSA Platform Architecture and Robotic Manufacturing
The C12 MaxR is underpinned by BGauss' proprietary WSA Platform, a flexible vehicle architecture engineered to accommodate various motor, battery, and wheel layouts. The platform is constructed using high-tensile micro-alloy steel and fabricated through automated robotic processes to ensure structural rigidity. According to company specifications, this underlying structural foundation is engineered for an operational lifespan of up to 150,000 kilometres.

Power delivery is managed by the newly developed HyperZen in-wheel hyperdrive motor platform, which generates 4.2 kW of peak power and facilitates a claimed top speed exceeding 75 kilometres per hour. The HyperZen architecture integrates the electric motor, gear transmission, braking system, and Motor Control Unit into a single compact unit. This design eliminates conventional belt or chain drives, thereby reducing transmission losses and lower ongoing maintenance requirements.

Underlining its practical utility, the C12 MaxR incorporates the LifeEasy storage philosophy, providing a 38-litre underseat boot capable of accommodating two helmets. Additional storage solutions include a pop-out umbrella holder, a lockable compartment designated for documents and wallets, wireless mobile charging, and a dedicated space for a cleaning cloth. The large flat floorboard provides sufficient room for medium-sized luggage during daily transits.

A 5-inch TFT display serves as the digital interface, delivering turn-by-turn navigation, call notifications, ride and charging statistics, user profiles, and multiple selectable display themes. Suspension duties are handled by a hydraulic telescopic front fork and a five-step adjustable Nitrox gas-emulsion rear suspension system, designed to support a standard payload capacity of 150 kg and a ground clearance of 160 mm.
Commercial distribution will take place through the brand's established retail footprint. BGauss currently operates 182 dealerships and maintains more than 350 customer touchpoints across India, ensuring broad market availability and after-sales service support for the new flagship model.
