2026 Maruti Baleno Full Variant Prices Released Starting at Rs 5.99 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki has disclosed the complete variant-wise pricing structure for the facelifted 2026 Baleno premium hatchback, setting the entry point at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The announcement establishes official pricing across all five trim levels following the vehicle's initial launch on September 5, 2026. While early launch communications indicated a base price of Rs 6.10 lakh, official cataloging now confirms the base petrol manual Sigma variant starts at Rs 5.99 lakh, extending up to Rs 9.99 lakh for the top-tier automated manual transmission option.

The revised lineup spans five distinct trims comprising Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, and the newly introduced range-topping Alpha (O) variant. Through this updated range, Maruti Suzuki aims to consolidate its market share in the premium hatchback category by offering a broader spectrum of transmission choices, factory-fitted compressed natural gas (CNG) configurations, and updated onboard driver assistance systems across varying buyer budgets.

The core petrol manual range forms the baseline of the 2026 Baleno portfolio, utilizing a five-speed manual gearbox across all trim levels. The entry-level Sigma is priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, while the mid-tier Delta manual comes in at Rs 7.00 lakh. Moving up the hierarchy, the Zeta manual is tagged at Rs 8.00 lakh, followed by the Alpha manual at Rs 9.10 lakh. The manual lineup tops out with the new Alpha (O) trim, which commands an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.50 lakh.

Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) options are offered starting from the mid-spec Delta trim, maintaining a uniform price premium of Rs 50,000 over equivalent manual petrol variants. The Delta AMT is priced at Rs 7.50 lakh, while the mid-high Zeta AMT stands at Rs 8.50 lakh. At the upper end of the spectrum, the feature-rich Alpha AMT is available for Rs 9.60 lakh, while the flagship Alpha (O) AMT reaches the price ceiling of the lineup at Rs 9.99 lakh.

To address buyers prioritizing lower operational costs, Maruti Suzuki continues to offer factory-fitted CNG kits, now integrated with the updated engine setup. The CNG configuration is restricted to two mid-level grades: Delta and Zeta. The Delta CNG manual is priced at Rs 7.92 lakh, while the Zeta CNG manual costs Rs 8.92 lakh. Both CNG variants carry an exact price premium of Rs 92,000 over their corresponding petrol manual equivalents.

Unlike the standard petrol model, the CNG variant is exclusively paired with a five-speed manual transmission, with no option for an automated gearbox. Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki has chosen not to extend the CNG powertrain to the higher Alpha or Alpha (O) trims, preserving those top tiers exclusively for standard petrol manual and AMT buyers seeking advanced comfort features without alternative fuel packaging.

The most substantial mechanical overhaul introduced in the 2026 Baleno is the replacement of the outgoing 1.2-litre K12N four-cylinder petrol engine. In its place, Maruti Suzuki has installed the 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, a powertrain already deployed in the latest iterations of the Swift hatchback and Dzire compact sedan.

The new Z12E engine generates a maximum power output of 83 hp and 112 Nm of peak torque. This represents a slight mechanical reduction compared to the outgoing K12N engine, which delivered 7 hp more power and 1 Nm more torque. The factory CNG Baleno delivers a claimed efficiency of 33.61 km per kg, representing an improvement of approximately 3 km per kg compared to the outgoing CNG powertrain. Alongside powertrain changes, the new flagship Alpha (O) trim introduces advanced safety features to the nameplate, incorporating Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and ventilated front seating.

With its complete price structure established between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh, the 2026 Baleno places itself in direct contention with established players in the Indian premium hatchback market. Its primary rival, the Tata Altroz, currently ranges between Rs 6.00 lakh and Rs 10.75 lakh, while Toyota's derivative model, the Glanza, spans from Rs 6.73 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh across its variant spectrum.
