Ukrainian Drones Strike Wildberries Logistics Hubs In Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones targeted two massive logistics hubs belonging to Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer, on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. The strikes hit facilities in the southern cities of Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk, resulting in at least 15 injuries. Local governors confirmed that debris from intercepted drones sparked fires at the warehouse complexes, leading to mass evacuations of employees. Wildberries CEO Tatyana Kim expressed grief over the targeting of civilian workers while vowing to continue operations despite the escalating violence directed at the company's infrastructure.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes, stating that these facilities are critical nodes in the supply chain for the Russian military. Intelligence reports suggest that Wildberries logistics centers are being used to transport drone components, navigation equipment, and other dual-use electronics sanctioned by the West. This operation is part of a broader "40-day influence campaign" by Kyiv, aimed at hitting strategic economic and military targets deep inside Russian territory. Beyond the warehouses, Ukraine also reported hitting 13 Russian vessels in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov, including ships from the Russian shadow fleet.

The intensification of Ukrainian strikes on Russian logistics and maritime assets has significant implications for India. One of the tankers targeted belonged to the Russian shadow fleet, which India heavily relies on to transport crude oil at prices below G7 caps. Any disruption to these vessels or the oil depots in the Krasnodar region could tighten the global oil market and increase freight costs for Indian refiners. New Delhi is closely monitoring the situation as these precision strikes move closer to the Black Sea ports that handle the majority of Russian oil exports destined for Indian shores.
