Tejas Networks Wins ₹1,537 Crore Order For BSNL 4G Network

Tejas Networks has secured a significant Letter of Intent (LoI) worth ₹1,537 crore from Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The order is specifically for the supply of Radio Access Network (RAN) equipment, accessories, and installation materials required for the deployment of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited's (BSNL) 4G mobile network. This contract covers the infrastructure needs for 18,685 sites, marking a major step in the national effort to expand high-speed mobile connectivity across the country.

The involvement of Tejas Networks, a homegrown telecom gear manufacturer, highlights the success of the 'Make in India' initiative in the critical telecommunications sector. By supplying indigenous RAN equipment for BSNL's 4G rollout, the company is playing a pivotal role in reducing reliance on foreign technology providers. The LoI, dated August 27, 2026, serves as the precursor to a detailed purchase order that TCS is expected to issue to Tejas Networks in the near future.

This project is a key component of BSNL's broader strategy to modernize its network and compete effectively in the Indian telecom market.
