Producer Namit Malhotra has confirmed a unique international release strategy for the highly anticipated epic, 'Ramayana'. Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the film is scheduled for an international premiere on November 6, 2026. Domestic audiences will witness the spectacle two days later on November 8, coinciding with the Diwali festival. Senior actor Nagarjuna recently praised the trailer, describing it as brilliant and expressing high confidence in the performances of the lead cast. This production is being positioned as one of India's most ambitious cinematic projects to date.

In South Indian cinema, director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s debut as a lead actor in 'DC' has seen a significant boost at the box office. The film recorded a 36.4% jump in India net collections on its first Sunday, earning ₹9.55 crore to bring its three-day total to ₹20.95 crore. The Tamil version led the surge, particularly in afternoon shows across Tamil Nadu. Amid this success, reports surfaced that Vijay Deverakonda was the original choice for the lead role, though he reportedly declined it to avoid overlap with a similar project. Deverakonda is currently preparing for 'Ranabaali', featuring his wife Rashmika Mandanna, marking their first on-screen collaboration after their marriage.
