Rahul Gandhi Targets Paper Leaks In Dehradun Protest

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has sharply criticized the central government regarding systemic exam paper leaks, specifically citing NEET UG. At a Chhatron Ki Goonj programme in Dehradun, he alleged that a question paper leak now commands a market rate of ‘40 lakh, claiming that high-tech methods are being used to facilitate these breaches. Gandhi asserted that approximately 7.5 crore students have been impacted by such leaks over the past decade, describing the phenomenon as a normalized industry rather than an occasional failure.

The Congress party has broadened its attack, alleging that the entire education system is compromised by these leaks. Demanding accountability, the party has called for the immediate resignation of the Union Education Minister. Amidst the protests, the party has also sought government dialogue with Sonam Wangchuk regarding his separate, ongoing hunger strike. This political confrontation highlights the deepening trust deficit between the opposition and the Centre regarding the integrity of national examination processes.

The protests in Dehradun took a tragic turn when a Congress worker died following an accident involving an iron rod at the event.
