Guyana authorities recovered 27 bodies from the capsized MV Barima ferry following a catastrophic accident off the country’s northwest coast. The vessel overturned late Saturday night while transporting passengers from the capital city, Georgetown, to Port Kaituma. Rescue teams successfully saved 69 individuals, but 83 passengers remain missing as search operations continue in difficult maritime conditions.
