Novo Nordisk Launches India's First Once-Weekly Insulin for Diabetes

Novo Nordisk has introduced Awiqli (insulin icodec) in India, marking the country's first once-weekly basal insulin for adults with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This breakthrough aims to significantly improve patient compliance by reducing the frequency of insulin injections from 365 times a year to just 52, addressing a major barrier in long-term diabetes management.
