Mumbai Falcons Launch F1 Sim Racing India Open With ₹2 Crore Pot

Mumbai Falcons is currently hosting the inaugural F1 Sim Racing India Open, a national competition designed to identify and groom emerging motorsport talent. This platform serves as a critical entry point for enthusiasts, offering a structured pathway from virtual racing to professional single-seater championships. The competition is split into Junior (ages 10-14) and Senior (over 14) categories, with a massive combined prize purse of ₹2 crore, as each category winner is set to receive ₹1 crore.

The initiative is not merely a gaming event but a comprehensive talent hunt program aimed at bridging the gap between simulation and real-world racing. Mumbai Falcons plans to select top performers for its 'Agla Star' program, providing training that includes 4-stroke and 2-stroke karting before transitioning participants into single-seater cars. Managed by Ameet Gadhoke, the program has already established partnerships with approximately 1,000 schools across 20 Indian cities to foster technological literacy and motorsport interest at a young age.

Participants compete in a multi-stage process involving zonal qualifiers and online laps within the F1 25 game. Those who qualify will gather in Mumbai at the NSCI Dome in November 2026 for the national finals, utilizing professional-grade simulation hardware like the Fanatec ClubSport Racing Wheel F1 system. This initiative represents India's significant push toward international motorsport recognition, as the organizers explore the possibility of representing the country in the global F1 Sim Racing World Championship.
