Microsoft Unveils Cybersecurity AI System as Moonshot Releases K3

Microsoft has introduced Project Perception, an AI-powered agentic security system designed to counter machine-speed digital threats. The system operates on a specialized five-billion active parameter model called MAI-Cyber-1-Flash. While K3 offers 2.5 times more intelligence per unit of compute than its predecessor, its 1.4-terabyte hardware requirement limits its run-time to heavy multi-GPU server setups.
