Mercedes-AMG Introduces Entry-Spec GT 53 4-Door Coupe Globally

Mercedes-AMG has globally revealed the GT 53 4-door Coupe, a new entry-level addition to its flagship performance range. Positioned strategically beneath the previously launched GT 55 and GT 63 variants, the GT 53 is designed to offer the brand's luxury performance experience at a more accessible entry point. The vehicle features a robust 544hp dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, capable of accelerating from 0-100kph in a reported 3.5 seconds.

A standout feature of the new GT 53 is its 106kWh battery, which provides a claimed range of 793km. This represents a substantial efficiency gain compared to the higher-spec GT 55 and GT 63 models, which were introduced in May 2026. While the GT 53 produces 272hp less than the GT 55 and 625hp less than the GT 63, the increase in range—103km more than the GT 55 and 107km more than the GT 63—positions it as an ideal choice for performance-oriented drivers who prioritize daily drivability and long-distance comfort.

The introduction of this variant is expected to broaden the appeal of the AMG GT 4-door line-up.
