Maruti Brezza Facelift Debuts July 24 with Boosterjet Engine

Maruti Suzuki has announced the debut of the updated Brezza on July 24, 2026. The compact SUV, which first launched in its current second-generation form in 2022, is now receiving its first major facelift. Bookings for the updated model are officially open for a token amount of Rs 11,000 across authorized dealerships. The exterior receives minor styling refinements, including a revised grille featuring a thin red strip, updated front bumper styling with silver skid plates, and new alloy wheel designs.

The interior is expected to retain the current layout but may feature upgraded trim materials and potentially a larger 10.1-inch infotainment display. Significant anticipated feature additions include an HUD unit, ventilated front seats, and Level 2 ADAS functionality. On the mechanical front, the vehicle is widely expected to introduce Maruti’s 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. This change could potentially shift the model into a lower GST tax bracket compared to the current 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The updated Brezza aims to maintain its position in a highly competitive segment against rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and the newly introduced competition. By integrating the turbo-petrol engine, Maruti intends to enhance performance while simultaneously optimizing pricing structure. Market watchers are keen to see if the pricing remains consistent with the current ex-showroom range of Rs 8.26 lakh to Rs 12.86 lakh. The upcoming reveal will finalize the specifications and confirm whether the model successfully secures the sub-4-meter tax benefits.
