KRAFTON India Announces Major BGMI Esports Roadmap for H2 2026

KRAFTON India has unveiled its comprehensive esports roadmap for the second half of 2026, signaling a major commitment to the growth of the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) competitive scene. The schedule features two high-profile tournaments, each boasting a prize pool of approximately ₹1 crore. These events are designed to elevate the level of competition and provide a platform for both established and emerging talent to showcase their skills on a national and international stage.

The BGMI International Cup (BMIC) Season 2 will serve as a flagship event, bringing together 16 elite teams from India, South Korea, and Japan. The Grand Finals for this international showdown are scheduled to take place in Mumbai from October 30 to November 1, 2026. Complementing this, the BGMI Showdown (BMSD) will cater to the domestic scene as an invite-only tournament for 48 Indian teams, with the LAN Grand Finals set for October 16 to 18, 2026.

This roadmap is part of a broader effort to professionalize the Indian esports ecosystem. By hosting international tournaments and LAN events, KRAFTON aims to increase fan engagement and attract more investment into the sector.
