HCLTech Completes Acquisition of HPE Telco Business for $160 Million

Global technology major HCLTech has successfully finalized the acquisition of Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Telco Solutions Business. The all-cash asset carve-out transaction, which officially concluded on August 1, 2026, is valued at up to $160 million, a figure that includes a $15 million performance-based incentive. This strategic buyout is designed to expand HCLTech's engineering footprint and deepen its technical capabilities within the global telecommunications infrastructure sector.

As part of this transaction, approximately 1,500 product engineering and telecom specialists spanning 39 countries have been successfully integrated into HCLTech's global workforce. This influx of specialized talent is expected to significantly bolster HCLTech's core competencies in 5G network architecture, autonomous networking, and artificial intelligence-led telecom services. Communication Service Providers worldwide will now have access to enhanced engineering solutions tailored to modernize their digital operations.
