Harish Rao Urges Telangana Govt to Fill Kaleshwaram Reservoirs

Former minister Harish Rao urged the Telangana government to fill reservoirs and minor irrigation (MI) tanks under the Kaleshwaram project. He emphasized the necessity of utilizing water from the Mid Manair reservoir to support local agricultural needs during the current season. The request focuses on ensuring a consistent water supply for farmers who depend on the integrated lift irrigation network. Rao noted that approximately 4 lakh acres of ayacut could receive vital water through five specific reservoirs if the system is managed correctly. The efficiency of the Mid Manair system remains critical for the irrigation potential of the entire region.
