In response to an ongoing international Ebola disease outbreak, the Government of India has officially launched the Air Suvidha 2.0 Ebola Disease Surveillance Portal. Under this enhanced health security protocol, all international passengers arriving in India are now required to submit a mandatory online health self-declaration form detailing their travel history over the preceding three weeks, including any visits to Ebola-affected countries.

The digital portal integrates automated passenger profiling with airport health screening desks to identify potential exposure risks before travelers exit customs areas. According to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare directives, airport health officers have been deployed with upgraded thermal scanning equipment and isolation guidelines to handle suspected symptomatic arrivals seamlessly across major international airports.

Aviation authorities and airline operators have been instructed to notify passengers during check-in regarding the mandatory filing requirement to prevent arrival delays. Public health officials emphasize that accurate disclosure on the portal is vital for maintaining domestic epidemiological security through the third quarter of 2026.
