Ebola Outbreak Expands To Sixth Congo Province

The ongoing Ebola outbreak, linked to the Bundibugyo virus (BDBV), has officially spread to its sixth province in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Health authorities have confirmed a fatality in Bas-Uele province, involving an individual who recently traveled from the neighboring Haut-Uele province, where the city of Isiro is currently a focal point for the disease.

Jean Kaseya, director-general of the Africa CDC, confirmed the spread on Thursday, underscoring the severity of the crisis.
