Delhi Police Arrest Cop's Son Following Fatal Mercedes Crash in Narela

A tragic road accident in Delhi's Narela area has resulted in the death of a 70-year-old woman after a speeding Mercedes-Benz collided head-on with a WagonR. The luxury car, reportedly driven by the son of a Haryana Police officer, crashed into the smaller vehicle with significant force on the evening of August 7, 2026. The impact was severe enough to kill the elderly woman instantly and seriously injure other occupants, while also striking a bystander.

Upon inspecting the vehicle, Delhi Police officials discovered a beer bottle inside the Mercedes, providing immediate evidence of alcohol consumption. Medical examinations later confirmed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. The driver attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by bystanders and handed over to the authorities, where a First Information Report was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
