CJP Warns Government Over Alleged Student Protests Witch-Hunt

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has threatened a renewed wave of student agitation across India, citing alleged police harassment of demonstrators following the NEET-UG controversy. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke warned the government that the failure to halt what he described as a witch-hunt against students would trigger fresh, massive peaceful protests. The party claims that authorities are violating earlier assurances to suspend punitive actions, despite the CJP having previously called off its 36-day agitation after the resignation of the former Union Education Minister.

The situation has intensified political debates in the Lok Sabha, with opposition leaders, including Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav, drawing parallels between current police tactics and the Emergency era. Chief Justice of India Surya Kant has ordered the immediate release of detained minors and mandated the preservation of all digital evidence to ensure accountability. While several states have begun withdrawing FIRs against students, the underlying tensions remain high.
