The Chümoukedima Electrical Division in Nagaland has discontinued the Single Point Metering system for consumer billing. Following the state government's notification of the First Amendment Rules to the Nagaland Communitisation of Electricity Management framework, billing will now rely solely on individual smart meters. The previous Single Point Metering system will now function only as a reference tool for energy auditing and accounting.
