BMW 7 Series and i7 Facelift Bookings Open in India

BMW India has officially opened bookings for the refreshed 7 Series and i7 flagship sedans. The mid-lifecycle facelift (LCI) brings comprehensive updates, including sharper front styling with a redesigned illuminated kidney grille and split LED headlamps. Inside, the cabin undergoes a significant transformation, adopting a new dashboard layout featuring BMW's latest Panoramic iDrive projection display. The update also integrates new interior elements inspired by upcoming models, such as a rhomboidal infotainment screen and revised ambient lighting systems.

The 7 Series facelift retains the 3.0-litre inline-six petrol and diesel mild-hybrid engines, though both units receive performance boosts. The 740i now produces 400hp, while the 740d sees an increase to 313hp. The all-electric i7 models benefit from larger 112.4kWh batteries, with the range-topping i7 M70 xDrive reaching output levels of 680hp and 1,100Nm of torque. These upgrades ensure the flagship models remain competitive against rivals like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which currently leads the premium segment in India.

Although an official launch date is pending, the refreshed sedans are expected to arrive in Indian showrooms in the coming months. BMW is likely to implement a modest price increase across the range to reflect the added technological features and revised design. Customers can currently register their interest via the BMW India website or through local dealerships. The 7 Series continues to be a staple in the luxury segment, and these updates aim to reinforce BMW's position in the high-end electric and internal combustion luxury sedan markets within India.
