Bihar Man Arrested for Killing Sister-In-Law in Jehanabad Dispute

A gruesome murder has shocked the Jehanabad district of Bihar after a man allegedly beheaded his sister-in-law following a domestic dispute. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning in a village under the jurisdiction of the local police station. According to police reports, the accused, identified as the victim's brother-in-law, committed the act with a sharp weapon. Witnesses reported a scene of extreme violence that has left the local community in a state of panic. The Bihar Police reached the spot shortly after the crime was reported to take control of the situation and begin their investigation.

Preliminary investigations suggest the motive for the killing was a trivial dispute regarding the preparation and serving of food. Reports indicate that the accused became enraged over a delay in receiving his meal and allegedly claimed the victim had dirt on her hands while serving. This escalated into a physical confrontation during which the accused attacked the woman. In a shocking display of brutality, the accused is reported to have hung the victim's head from a nearby banyan tree after the killing. The victim, a mother of young children, died on the spot before any medical help could be summoned.

The Jehanabad Police acted swiftly to apprehend the suspect before he could flee the area. Senior police officials confirmed that the accused was taken into custody near the scene of the crime and the murder weapon has been recovered. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to a government hospital. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for murder. Local authorities are also providing counseling to the traumatized family members as the investigation continues to gather forensic evidence to ensure a strong prosecution.
