AP TET 2026 Begins With 400,000 Aspirants as Andhra University Reschedules Exams

The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test for 2026 begins on August 5 and runs until August 21 across the state, bringing over 400,000 teaching aspirants to computer-based testing centers. Hall tickets for the statewide examinations were released on July 25, while tests are conducted in two daily shifts from 9:30 AM to 12 Noon and 2:30 PM to 5 PM with mandatory biometric verification.

Meanwhile, Andhra University postponed select undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional course examinations to accommodate traffic and security arrangements for the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram. The Vizianagaram District Collector and the university vice-chancellor coordinated the schedule shifts, moving MBA, MHRM, and PG diploma exams to August 5 and undergraduate supplementary papers to August 24.

Teaching professionals across India face strict compliance timelines, as a Supreme Court verdict mandates that uncertified teachers must clear their qualifying TET by August 2028 or face employment termination.
