Amaravati Infrastructure: APCRDA Hands Over MLA Residential Complex

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has officially handed over a major residential complex intended for Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Legislative Council (MLCs) to the General Administration Department (GAD). The complex, located in the capital region of Amaravati, signifies a major step in revitalizing infrastructure projects that had previously faced delays. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu personally inspected the site to verify the quality of the modern infrastructure and facilities provided to the lawmakers.

The residential project consists of 12 high-rise towers containing a total of 288 individual flats. Each flat is designed with a spacious 3,500 square feet layout, equipped with modern amenities to accommodate the functional needs of state representatives. The completion of this complex is part of the state's broader push to establish permanent administrative and residential structures within the Amaravati capital zone. The APCRDA has focused on ensuring that the towers meet high safety and architectural standards as mandated by the state’s urban development plan.

The handover of these residences is a key milestone for the current administration, which has prioritized the development of Amaravati as the functional capital of Andhra Pradesh. By providing dedicated housing for legislators, the government aims to streamline the functioning of the state assembly and reduce dependency on temporary accommodations in other cities.
