Developed in collaboration with enterprise AI firm Articul8 AI, the system uses this structured approach to restrict outputs within strict linguistic parameters, mitigating the generative hallucination errors common in broad internet-trained models.
Linguistic Architecture and Custom Tokenization
Processing Indian languages on conventional artificial intelligence platforms has historically demanded disproportionate computing power compared to English due to tokenization inefficiencies. Articul8 AI reported that its custom-built tokenizer is 17 times more efficient than standard industry models, a technical metric that lowers operational overhead and computational costs.
By treating Panini's structural rules as foundational constraints rather than post-processing checks, the model aims to accurately process complex syntax found across classical treatises. Developers plan to apply Laya to examine historical texts ranging from classical poetry by Kalidasa to foundational works on governance and economics such as the Arthashastra, supporting academic research and virtual university initiatives at the college.
