Google Executive Notes Shift to ROI in Enterprise AI as Startup Nava Seeks $200M Funding

Corporate discussions surrounding artificial intelligence have pivoted decisively toward tangible returns on investment as enterprises move past initial experimentation phases, according to senior Google executives. Speaking at a corporate technology forum in Bengaluru, Google Cloud India digital natives business managing director Amit Kumar noted that commercial adopters are demanding clear economic justification for software deployments.
The evolution reflects a broader maturing of enterprise adoption across domestic markets, where early deployments of proof-of-concept solutions frequently stalled under real-world operational workflows. Enterprise buyers are abandoning superficial metrics like rapid response speeds in favor of verified financial outcomes, including cost efficiencies, customer acquisition gains, and scalable problem-solving capabilities.

The Shift From Experimentation to Value

Corporate technology strategies over the past two years have progressed through distinct operational maturity cycles. Initial deployment phases centered heavily on general experimentation, which rapidly evolved into enterprise-wide scaling efforts. Industry sentiment has now settled strictly on value realization, driven by millions of corporate dollars spent on proof-of-concept pilots that failed to transition into sustainable workflows.
Amit Kumar explained that downstream customer value cannot be delivered by basic conversational bots that merely answer inquiries quickly. Enterprises are actively evaluating whether deployment solutions yield measurable business expansion or cost reduction at scale. This demand for proof has simultaneously created headwinds for traditional adoption rates across various industry sectors.

Private Infrastructure Financing and Valuations

Parallel to shifting corporate software demands, private market capital is concentrating heavily on underlying deeptech and data centre infrastructure. AI data centre startup Nava, formerly known as Kluisz, is currently engaged in advanced negotiations to secure a $200 million funding round from existing investor Greenoaks. Ongoing discussions position the enterprise valuation at approximately $750 million.
Kluisz.ai raised $9.6 million in a seed round led by RTP Global, representing one of the largest seed fundraises for an Indian AI-focused deeptech company in 2025 so far. Later, Nava secured $22 million in a funding round led by Greenoaks Capital.
Should negotiations conclude successfully, the transaction will establish one of the largest capital inflows within the domestic data centre and artificial intelligence ecosystem. Market trackers place the prospective round immediately behind Sarvam AI's $300 million raise, while outstripping recent financing rounds secured by sector peers including Brahma AI and Emergent.

Leadership Pedigree and Investor Playbook

Nava was established by Abhinav Sinha, former global chief operating officer at OYO; Vamshidhar Reddy, former McKinsey partner and AMD executive; and Abhijeet Singh, former vice president of cloud at Jio. The enterprise specializes in constructing private cloud infrastructure stacks tailored specifically for enterprise requirements in the artificial intelligence era.
The current round marks Nava's second major capital raise within a six-month window, following an initial financing package secured earlier in the year. Tracxn market data indicates the company held a valuation exceeding $40 million during April, reflecting an aggressive valuation expansion. Greenoaks continues its deployment pattern of following initial early-stage investments with larger subsequent capital commitments across high-conviction deeptech ventures.
