Comcast Partners With Drexel University to Launch Custom Artificial Intelligence MBA for Executives
Comcast has partnered with Corporate and Executive Education at Drexel University's LeBow College of Business to launch a fully customized Master of Business Administration program focused on artificial intelligence for corporate leaders. The initiative is designed to equip senior personnel with the strategic tools required to integrate advanced machine intelligence across business operations, customer engagement, and workforce development.
The 30-credit curriculum encompasses 16 newly designed courses delivered across five semesters through a hybrid model combining residency-based in-person classes and online instruction. Following an accelerated program development schedule, an initial cohort of 35 Comcast employees from multidisciplinary backgrounds commenced their coursework in September 2025, while a second cohort launched their studies in August 2026.
Curriculum Structure and Institutional Partnership
The specialized MBA builds upon an established institutional relationship between Drexel and Comcast, which spans engineering and business co-op placements, employee certificate programs, and advisory roles. Vibhas Madan, dean and R. John Chapel Jr. Dean's Chair of the LeBow College of Business, described the custom degree as an intuitive extension of their long-standing professional collaboration.
"This program is a remarkably intuitive and successful outcome based on the long-standing professional partnership between Comcast and Drexel," said Vibhas Madan, PhD, dean and R. John Chapel Jr. Dean's Chair of the LeBow College of Business, adding that the curriculum is tailored to help Comcast leaders harness AI for strategic innovation.
Enterprise Integration and Executive Strategy
The corporate initiative addresses the shifting demand for leadership capable of managing automated network infrastructure, optimizing business efficiency, and scaling digital capabilities. Rather than focusing strictly on technical engineering, the coursework positions artificial intelligence as an overarching management framework for modern enterprise operations.
William Strahan, executive vice president of human resources at Comcast, emphasized that competitive advantage in an automated economy relies on personnel who understand how to apply the technology responsibly.
"We are using AI to help manage our networks, improve customer experiences and accelerate how we operate as a business," said William Strahan, EVP of Human Resources at Comcast. "As access to AI expands, the differentiator for success won't be the technology itself, but the people who use it most effectively and responsibly."
The program continues enrollment and instruction through Drexel's LeBow Corporate and Executive Education division, with ongoing cohorts progressing through the multi-semester curriculum.
