Authorities emphasized that these seizures serve as a critical measure to protect copyright-protected content and protect users from malicious activities. Security officials warned that these illegal streaming platforms often expose viewers to significant risks, including malware attacks and data theft, by operating unsecure connections to broadcast real-time sports content.

The World Cup, which commenced on June 11, has attracted record-breaking viewership numbers across North America.
