TNCC President Accuses BJP Of Undermining MGNREGA Scheme

Tamil Nadu Congress Committee (TNCC) president Manickam Tagore has leveled serious accusations against the central government, alleging a systematic dismantling of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Speaking at a public campaign in Tiruchi, Tagore characterized recent administrative actions as a deliberate effort to weaken the flagship rural employment program. He specifically cited recurring issues with wage payment delays and a significant reduction in available workdays as primary evidence of the scheme's degradation.

According to the TNCC president, the core mandate of the MGNREGA program has been compromised.
