Ram Temple Trust Fraud Investigation Widens as Eight Suspects Remanded to Custody

Uttar Pradesh authorities have arrested eight individuals in connection with the alleged embezzlement of funds donated to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in Ayodhya. These suspects, who were apprehended late Thursday night, have been remanded to police custody until June 29 as investigators work to recover approximately ₹79.85 lakh in misappropriated funds. The investigation follows a formal complaint lodged by the temple trust, triggering the formation of a Special Investigative Team (SIT) to probe the financial irregularities involving former and current personnel associated with fund-counting operations.
